Some drawings from the British museum's samurai exhibit. Was super interesting but kinda hard mode cos the lighting is really dim and it was mega crowded haha

no reason i stopped using it really! i was just really into pixel art at the time. i still like doodling with the pencil tool in photoshop (the one with no anti-aliasing). not quite the same but kinda pixelart-y

me, basically:

OBVIOUSLY the artists behind orbitals have 1000000x the creativity of a braindead prompt jockey, hope that goes without saying

i'm not saying it looks like AI, and i dont even think it's necessarily that AI art has polluted my palate when seeing stuff like this. but it's undeniable that the same part of the brain that makes people type "80s style anime video of my cat" into Sora also results in this kind of thing

Orbitals obviously looks mega sick but am i just incredibly jaded or is there something ALMOST creatively unsatisfying in art that's so invested in apeing that "80s anime style" so perfectly

Echoing my peers in saying that many animated productions (including Gumball) are still made almost exclusively using Animate. Adobe is choosing to abandon those productions in order to spend more resources on gen AI slop tools that nobody wants

I'd call this usual adobe clown behaviour but the decision to make this announcement *less than a month* before ending official support is only readable as active malice

Theory: Bone Temple is actually the real Minecraft Movie. Everyone hunkered down in their bases away from the zombies, Ralph Fiennes diligently working on his build for years, uses potion of weakness/golden apple on Samson, Jack O'Connell and his gang grief everyone. It's the full server experience

I'm glad this one is doing well. I think it's a good drawing.

honestly the short had a pretty solid visual style when i hopped on, so a lot of this was just kind of exploring the characters and trying out some alt colours. it's really fun trying to play around in someone else's drawing style

Thanks so much! It's all inspired by reading manga haha - so many Japanese comics have an amazing sense of capturing movement with a single drawing. And yeah it's been fun! I'm gonna keep going for as long as I can.
