Fat-shaming says more about the user than the target. Dems who use it lose my respect, because they probably hold similar beliefs (all your own fault, suffering okay) about poor people and other marginalized communities, even if just implicitly. There are valid reasons to make fun of these monsters!

Our daughter lives in Minneapolis and we fall more in love with the city each time we visit. Favorites so far: Hen House for breakfast, Bryant Lake Bowl and Theater, and Mill District Farmers Market. Our only complaint is we can’t find a good pizza place - you need more Italians!

Yes! And these companies are straight up causing our asthma, cancers, etc and then the MAHA bros turn around and vilify anyone with a chronic condition as a leech on the healthcare system.

I thought it was a good movie but wouldn’t say I enjoyed it. The only seats available were super close to the screen and my husband and I both felt very sick by the end of the movie. Most of it was close-ups and shaky cameras and it made us motion sick.

My 23yo daughter rarely gets excited about a movie coming out but she is psyched for the next Avatar! I’m not running to the theater, but I will most likely see it. You know you’ll get your money’s worth!

Btw daughter’s cost for health care in the UK (you pay up front when you apply for the visa) will be about $2700 for 2 entire years. That’s about 1/5 what she would cost on our US plan.

Wow looking at all these replies we were fortunate! Husband and I are both self-employed no ACÁ subsidy. Our plan for us plus one daughter went up 20% to $1908. Lucky for us daughter is taking a job in the UK so we may come out about even when we drop her. @deluzio.house.gov

It’s just one data point but my 21 year old daughter left for grad school in the UK last year and jumped at the opportunity to stay and work for at least a few more years - I think she is hoping permanently. I miss her so much but can’t blame her.

As a Pittsburgher raised with a disdain for all things Philly-related I am intrigued by this theory. I catch myself saying “Go Birds” all the time now. I always thought it was IASIP but maybe it is just being too online!

Happy to report that Gordie has finally calmed down enough that he can coexist with his uncle Misha (my mom’s cat). It only took 6 years of sporadic visits!

Boomer voting habits are not the worst - that would be my GenXers. But I agree with you because 1. Boomer politicians will not retire. 2. Neither party has prioritized affordable housing, college, and healthcare to help the lives of younger generations. People are fed up.
