Agreed. It’s silly to expect a private sector driven by market (investment) demand to suddenly accommodate actual residential need. These two objectives are often (always?) in conflict, and few seem willing to even discuss disentangling them.

People who are fed easy (but not great) solutions to their problems tend to get lazy. People who get intellectually lazy (like chatgpt users) are not exercising their brains. ChatGPT users get stupider.

In the end it's those of us who won't use AI who will get the shit done.
