I have a much better chance of doing something about the shitty fucking policies in CA by calling Newsom's office each week and letting people know when his policies are rank so they can put pressure on him, too...than congratulating his sm team for doing their jobs.

Giving Newsom (and really, his social media team) endless props for dunk posts is not activism or resistance and you need to stop pretending it is. It is GOOD and VITAL to criticism people on who are supposedly on your team who are fucking up.

Like, you don't like Tr*mp? You realize we're in a fascist takeover? Great! Now pay attention to what your local leaders are doing, including the the Dems, many of whom also support loathsome policies that hurt real people, today, and maybe DO SOMETHING ABOUT THAT.

I mean, you could also look at the policies I am talking about, such as forcing disabled people into poverty without assets to get access to care. Or criminalizing the unhoused. Or his trans sports bullshit before deciding he gets a "pass". And weak sm posts aren't really pushback.
