The only effects that would be negated are "when this card is put into a graveyard" effects Like, any effect that cares about the graveyard. "Destroy" triggers and "Sacrifice" triggers will still go off because those keywords are different variations of the card leaving the active play area, same with exile. When the creature dies, its effect still goes off, but it is exiled upon death instead of hitting the graveyard Rest in Peace is specifically a graveyard hate card. It's great in commander for shutting down decks [like mine...] that love to fuck around with recursion
