The best counter example I have is the cross country shooting event where sliding is arguably only 50% of the event because they shoot from a stationary position.

It was obvious the moment she pulled a pile of non random cards out of her pocket. It was so clearly a pile of good cards that wouldn't be a catastrophe if she lost them.

I would venture to guess that B4 tends to have less compact win conditions/threats. Also perhaps more varied or unrelated win conditions in a single deck.

In a world of infinite print runs, I'm not disputing that FF would still be the highest selling -- it still would be. But the point remains that it wasn't possible for other sets to sell as much as FF because they didn't print as much in the initial run.

Correct -- spidey "sold out" in that distributors bought the entire supply, and quickly got burned. But Wizards sold everything they printed.

I don't have direct data of it, but I suspect in the initial sale window (e.g., not a reprint window) that every set since Dragonstorm has sold out. Hype can die down by the time reprint runs make it to the market, but at the initial release run they all sell out.

The "best selling" statistic is highly dependent on how much of it they print. Final Fantasy is the best selling because they printed more of it than any other set.

I think they mostly have? They've been replacing his art (e.g., Assassin's Trophy). Looks like Farewell was in Murders at Karlov commander decks and Selfless Spirit was in the Dragonstorm decks. Other than that, I don't see much else in the last several years.

wrt: Griselbrand, honestly how much different would he be than Ad Naus? Ad Naus has a build restriction, but Gris costs 3 more and/or reanimation is more telegraphed. Its primary issue is not having a counterplay window -- but nor does Nyxbloom Ancient, and that's not even on GC list.

Don't unban Iona or Titan. Mono color, basic land decks should never be disincentivized. As much as it would be cute to put titan in a gates deck, that doesn't seem healthy.
