It'll be a while before I can revisit it, but Duvall's THE APOSTLE -- which he also wrote and directed -- is one of the best films ever made about acting. Not directly, but it's sort of the point.

Robert Selden Duvall left an amazing body of work ranging from To Kill A Mockingbird, The Godfather, Tender Mercies, Apocalypse Now to Secondhand Lions.
