It’s that time of year again, and I’ve had Michigan on repeat🔁

At the Sustainable Urban Design Summit I laid out my vision for a more sustainable Michigan – and it starts with protecting our water. 

Because when we safeguard our lakes, we grow our jobs, keep our kids here, and build a Michigan that everyone can proudly call home.

The family and I are ready to watch Michigan BEAT Ohio. Go Blue!〽️

Housing costs are out of control and the problem is clear: we simply don’t build enough housing.

It was a great day on the Sunrise Side hearing directly from community members in Alcona, Alpena, and Iosco. Their focus is clear: Invest in rural communities, protect the Great Lakes, and make sure every family has a fair shot.

Trump’s pardons for those who interfered in 2020 elections send us down a dangerous path, giving a green light to those who use lies, threats, and conspiracy theories to interfere with free and fair elections.

I am grateful to law enforcement and Mayor Hammoud who worked during the chaos to protect the people of Dearborn — yesterday and every day. I stand with them as we work to unite Michigan with our shared values: ensuring our state is a safe place for all to raise a family, live, and thrive.

Hate has no place in our state. And when outside agitators come in to incite violence in Dearborn, threatening the safety and security of residents in one of Michigan’s most vibrant and diverse cities, they threaten all of us.

I’m proud to be a member of the Democratic Party because we see injustices, we see wrongs, and then we do something about it. And whether it’s protecting our freedoms, funding our schools, or lowering the cost of your healthcare, I am going to fight for you as Michigan governor.

Suggesting anything else is a reckless attempt to distract from the real issues facing people of Michigan: making sure they can afford to live and thrive in Michigan.

Our elections are some of the safest and most secure in the country because the clerks, poll workers, and volunteers — who represent the entire political spectrum — ensure the voices and the votes of the people are heard and upheld.

Today is World Kindness Day, a chance for us to take a beat and think about the importance of showing kindness to each other in everyday moments. Lend a hand, check in on someone, or donate your time to a community in need. Everything we do shows our children what it means to care for one another.

Thank you to the MSU Dems for a great night of conversation! I learned so much from listening to all of you. This next generation of leaders is ready to turn their ideas into action, and our state will be stronger because of it. Go green!

This Veterans Day, I’m thinking of my husband, Ryan, and the hundreds of thousands of Michiganders who’ve served with honor. It was special to stop by the Michigan Heroes Museum today to see his exhibit — a reminder of the 1% of Americans who put their lives on the line to protect the other 99%.

I’m willing to work with anyone, no matter their party, if it means making life better for Michigan families. That means free child care, clean and affordable water, and a world-class education. But I have no patience for any politician who puts their self-interests ahead of the people of Michigan.

This morning, I ran the 4Star Veterans Day Race in Detroit to honor our veterans. I’m proud to be the wife of a veteran, and I know we must always do everything we can to serve and protect those who’ve given so much to serve and protect all of us.

He taught me to see things that appeared to be working just fine and "fix them anyway” to work better for the people.

Paul was an icon in the sports world, for me he was a true friend, mentor, and democracy ally. Rest in peace, dear Paul. We will carry on the fight for the people in your honor.

I first met Paul Tagliabue in 2017 on a tour of Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta just before a Dolphins-Falcons game. After just a few minutes with him and his wife Chan, I realized he was a voting rights champion who happened to also be a former NFL Commissioner.

The Lapeer Dems know how to show up, work hard, and fight for the future of Michigan!

They know that it’s on us to keep building towards a Michigan where everyone has a fair shot to succeed and I’m proud to be in this fight to deliver for communities like this one.

Government should always serve the people.

One year from now, Michigan will make a choice about the kind of future we want. The work we do between now and then — organizing, and standing up for one another, will shape that future. Thank you to everyone that showed up tonight to make that future real and give everyone a fair shot to thrive.

Congratulations to Abigail Spanberger (Virginia's first woman governor!) & Mikie Sherrill! They didn't just win, they shattered barriers with a message of lowering costs and making life easier for the people they’re going to serve. We’re going to do the same right here in MI in 2026. Let’s do this!
