Agree. I just finished my PhD on the eighteenth-century version of this trope in poetry, specifically, and at this point I am just done with reading affirmative and nostalgic takes on it. Sounds like maybe we would have things to talk about though?

Twenty Lessons, read by John Lithgow Key selections from On Tyranny, for viewing and sharing

Here is my best guidance for action, rendered beautifully by the great John Lithgow. I first published these lessons more than eight years ago, in late 2016. They open the twenty chapters of "On Tyranny: Twenty Lessons from the Twentieth Century."

„Ohne euren Männerhass wäre die Welt noch schöner“-Titel

Die 70er haben angerufen und wollen ihre platte antifeministische Diffamierungsrhetorik - Kritik patriarchaler Gewalt = „Männerhass“ - zurück.

Also now public after having been adduced as evidence at trial are WhatsApp messages between Ms Power—who is currently a Telegraph writer and editor of Compact magazine—and Mr Miller. These reveal that Ms Power and Mr Miller both kept copies of Hitler’s ‘Mein Kampf’, with Mr Miller suggesting they might “find [themselves] agreeing with it”. This leads Ms Power to “Wonder what the real deal is with the Protocols [of the Elders of Zion]”, the notorious antisemitic text that inspired Hitler. The logs also show Ms Power claiming that “the social disapproval for ‘racism’ is a psyop to stop people realising that there *are* alien and fairy races”, and that “black and white were alien races and very different”.

Unglaublich.

One of the more toxic traits of the modern neoliberal university is the tendency for disciplines to dunk on other disciplines.

In other words, the anti-intellectualism is coming from inside the house.

Forty years ago, Gay's the Word was reeling from raids by HM Customs & Excise. You might've heard of 'Operation Tiger', but probably know less about the books accused of being 'indecent or obscene'. Our new online exhibition reveals more – london.ac.uk/seized-books
