I got mine off of Etsy a while ago. This is the shop but it doesn't look like they have any of the full shelves for sale at the moment.

Jefre Cantu-Ledesma - Gift Songs

Bonkers body horror about vanity, fame, and the ways in which woman arenβt allowed to age gracefully. Β Amazing performances from Demi Moore and Margaret Qualley and (mostly) great special effects but the ending fell flat for me and the running time is unnecessarily long.

Heartbreaking doc about disappointment and regret. It suffers a bit from a lack of diversity in voices. White people (mostly of privilege) arenβt the only people that struggle or fail to achieve their hopes and dreams. Still worth a watch (itβs streaming on Criterion currently).

βAs a transgender teacher who works both within CPS and the union, I have witnessed the impact of gender-affirming care in my school community and others. When students feel loved and supported by their teachers and their communities, they do better in school and in life.β bit.ly/4i4Xc00

Absolutely. It's a good example of someone of privilege having the resources to get "sober" but (seemingly) little or no ability to learn from his struggles and grow in healthy ways.
20.02.2025 15:59 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0RFK Jr. is a fraud and a danger to public health. Pointing out his addiction history is unnecessary and harmful to those in recovery and those seeking it. Just because someone abused drugs in the past doesn't mean they can't have opinions and/or contribute to society. He just happens to be a fool.
20.02.2025 13:25 β π 7 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Iβm mostly concerned with my clients well being. Struggling with trauma, addiction, and/or general life/future/existential anxiety (everyone at this point whether or not people want to admit it) and facing a huge bill or no coverage seeking the support you need.
19.02.2025 15:41 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Iβve had a lot of these discussions with my clients the past few weeks. Trying to come up with a sliding scale/payment plan that works with peopleβs budgets. Itβs a terrible situation to be in.

12.02.2025 00:11 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Simon McCorry and I have a new album coming out on @pastinside.bsky.social later this month. You can preview two of the songs and preorder digital and CD copies via the link below. It's probably the most hopeful sounding music I've made up until this point.

I think it is a personal taste thing for me. I don't hate guitar solos by any means but I strongly dislike solos/virtuosity that is macho posturing and/or just done in a reflexive/predictable way ("this is where the solo should go"). BC and J Mascis at times fall into those categories.
05.02.2025 20:50 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I've never been a fan of guitar solos/lead playing myself. Much prefer the simple and weird solos of people like Kurt Cobain or Jonny Greenwood (like the solo on Paranoid Android). I find Billy Corgan's solos to be a bit distracting at times, like they are more in service of his ego than the song.
05.02.2025 20:11 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0This is a good point. I need to listen to his guitar playing more carefully when I revisit those earlier albums.
05.02.2025 18:55 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Me repeatedly misspelling the album name reflects my level of appreciation for SP. π€¦ββοΈ Haha.
05.02.2025 18:39 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I tried listening to MC in the past year or so and couldn't make it all the way through. Ok Computer is great from start to finish (though it's hard to listen to Karma Police at this point).
