UCSD is attacking workers again—this time with a plan to slash 20% of its already underfunded library staff. State budget cuts were the excuse, but those cuts have already been met.

Gutting the Geisel Library is an assault on both workers and education

It is both horrifying and pathetic how politicians think they can legislate people into not existing. From Governor Newsom’s bans on unhoused camping to the orange turd’s gender restrictions on passports, it’s the same. What do they think is going to happen? People don’t just go away.

I used to say that you could tell your boss was lying whenever their lips moved. That’s not true. The relationships between employers and an employees are based on so much propaganda and deception the boss doesn’t actually have to say anything to lie.

We have all kinds of “democracy” here. We have both neofascist and neofascist lite.

Does anybody remember conservatives? They were interesting people. I didn’t agree with them much but they were fun to debate. They tended to like the constitution and checks and balances and stuff. Has anyone met such a person? Have they gone extinct?
