On party food/drink notes, alcohol isn't the only potential issue. Especially in sugar tax countries, make sure you have something that doesn't contain sweeteners. Things that were okay last year might have sweeteners now. Things you don't expect can add them (pickled beetroot).

It's dropped to 15C inside for the first time this year (for me at the computer, my animals have their heating as usual).

Adding to that, the smaller the number, the more yellow it'll be. Bigger numbers are bluer.

The colour temperature (the Kelvins) is more important than the type of bulb. My warm white steampunk bulb is 2700K, which is pretty yellow. Though some LED lights let you change the colour temperature, which is also useful.

I've had my flu jab, so that's a wrap on medical stuff for this year (I hope). I also got a cuddly candycane whilst I was there, which is much nicer.

There are times where it can work, like it's themed around something the editor is known for. But the one I read with an editor story just reinforced my view that the editor didn't really understand their own anthology's theme.

Kobo is doing a 30 day free trial promotion for their Kindle Unlimited competitor service Kobo Plus for new subscribers (not sure if this is US only), if you like queer indie books, small press SFF, and backlist SFF from large publishers there's a lot to choose from on this service that's not on KU!

Edited a couple of chapters and have a rough version of the next video, so I'm getting stuff done.

I did some filming and it actually went pretty smoothly. I didn't have to constantly redo stuff. Time for a break and food.
