I was once told that this book - Magic, Maps, and Mischief - written by an autistic person about the autistic experience, did nothing new.

I didn't agree, and put it down to people judging worth differently.

You can find freedom when you let go of what you think success, perfection or happiness is supposed to look like. Asking for help and needing help doesn’t mean you are a failure. You have power, whether you realise it or not.

I'm off work and my brain is scrampled egg right now so can't get stuck into writing... So I have been doing a bit of art. It's messy and it's shiny and it's keeping me sane. Ish. Anyway here is my space octopus.

This time last week I was packing to leave @worldfantasy2025.bsky.social. It was a strange con for me as I was deep in bereavement, but the support of so many wonderful friends and loved ones kept me going.
