I’m watching the Guy Ritchie TV show MobLand occasionally to switch my brain off, his Irish accent in it is curious. (It’s no where near as jarring as Helen Mirrwns attempt at an Irish accent in the same show)

I booked Amtrak Cascades with a bike late last month. I found out at the station the train wasn’t running (and won’t be for the foreseeable future). There was a replacement coach service instead. The coach wasn’t as comfortable, but, it was faster.

I’m at a work offsite meeting with colleagues in Seattle. This evening I (Irish-Canadian), hung out with a Brit and an Argentian-Irish colleague. I can’t remember the topic but Thatcher came up and my Argentian-Irish colleague got to best us all; Thatcher invaded his home country!

The “Welcome to the United States of America!” sms when you cross the border and start roaming doesn’t seem as cheery these days!
