I fucking love Turn Off The Light, the album this is from, it's full of spooky goodness. I used to really enjoy Petras' work but everything since Slut Pop in 2022 has been pretty meh to me. :/ Guess I'll just keeping listening to this then.

In 2020 I was sad about being locked down during Halloween, so I posted a spooky song on Facebook every day during October. It was fun so I've kept it up each year (minus a break in 2023), but with how FB sucks now I'm expanding my posts to Bluesky this year.

Finished season 2 tonight and I was about to write it off as being almost a parody of itself with how it feinted at serious themes while being mostly cute and fluffy, but then HOOOO BOY the last two episodes brought the edge right back

I bought a new screen protector for my iPad that adds texture to help with drawing. It does this amazingly but also I cannot for the love of god apply it without a shitload of air bubbles getting trapped underneath 🙃

Yeah they're one of the main chains here in Australia, not sure if they're the same chain as in the US though.

One time I got to my building when my podcast ep hit the climax but hadn't finished, so I just wandered up and down the corridor until it ended and *then* I went home.

Kmart is far and away the best with how much stuff it has. Daiso, Big W and Spotlight are good too but you're not getting a full party out of them. TK Maxx is upmarket homewares and candles (your mum would go insane in there FYI). Bunnings is where the huge animatronics are.

Finally, TREND ALERT: spooky dinosaurs! I don't care for the skeletons (what kind of dinosaur ARE they, honestly) but the costumed dog toys are adorable. And if I had a yard big enough for a 1.07m inflatable witch Tyrannosaurus, I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

Spotlight has some neat odds and ends, like this mermaid skeleton. The inflatables are pretty neat too. I'm not sure how long that cooler will last unless the rubber is really thick. The spider on the tombstone reminds me a lot of Blackarachnia from Transformers!
