I worked up a preso in about 30 minutes to do a newsletter coaching session tomorrow. I kept it lean, simple, and precise. Tomorrow we test and validate. The next day we create. Get it done, folks. Your future is just waiting on you to catch up.

True story: I almost named my newsletter "Cunning Linguist."

I thought it was clever, but I think I'd have had to chuck professionalism out the window. 😂

I know it's been said a thousand times if it's been said once, but the comments section is a goldmine for story ideas if you pay attention.

When I'm hiring for my day job, I tend to hire women because they're more reliable and they don't let their egos get in the way. I've noticed they tend to make more of an effort to work as a team, which I highly value. Not in all cases, of course, but I'd say 90% of the time.

As I've said before to people, the lessons my dad and the military taught me have stuck. I'm tired to the bone, my gas tank is on empty, but I move forward with single minded determination to succeed. When you think you have nothing more left to give is when you're at your absolute best.

That's why I always use quotes around the word for them. When I speak of them out loud, there's lots of air quotes.

I agree. Any type of niche I've ever worked has had its "gurus" and they are all cut from the same cloth.

I think it's weird that most "gurus" out there only seem to celebrate their own wins. I LOVE seeing others win. It makes me very happy for them. I truly like it when others succeed and remain true to who they are. I like celebrating with them.

DALL-E now has an image editing tool in it. Don't like a specific part of the image it created? Cool, cool... just highlight the area and tell it what you want and it will change it while keeping the rest of the image the same.

It is a gift not to be underestimated.

"Don't over commit" is a huge one.

I used to do this all the time and it leads to burnout so quick. There is a huge amount of value in the word "no."

Being honest, I know a lot of online gurus who like to say waking up before the sun comes up is the way to get things done. But I'm working for a day when I can wake up when my body says it's had enough sleep and being productive as possible doing something I love.

But I was a fuels guy, so I got to do all sorts of interesting things with Army, Navy, Marines, Coast Guard, et al.

I have to say the Army TDYs were my favorite. Y'know... minus the getting shot at part. 😜
