Stop making healthcare a business. How much money and time would be saved if the prior authorizations, billing coding disputes, & calls to appeal denials stopped?

I look at people with eff you levels of money and just don’t understand - instead of hoarding wealth like evil dragons of legend, they could be helping people. A few grand here and there - absolute pocket change to them - could positively impact so many lives.

I really hope it actually gets built. I recall hearing something a while back about Encore trying to back off on funding (despite their agreement to help make it happen) because it is going to be much more expensive to build than previously thought.

It makes me pretty sad Friends of Bear Cat Rescue @feederofcats deciding to make 2 kittens a double adoption-only case almost guarantees it'll be harder to get them adopted so it's not an easy decision to require that they go together but I really think Envelope would be distraught without Stamps :(

the post office is a public service. it doesn’t need to make money. public transit doesn’t need to make money. the library doesn’t need to make money. some things exist for the public good and we desperately need lawmakers to stop thinking about them in terms of capitalism. these are not businesses.

I’m sure there will still be issues because health insurance in the US is a scam but at least it will be a DIFFERENT scam.

Protip for anyone else with mild walnut allergies who like carrot cake - their carrot cake is nut-free* and yummy! Almost every other bakery around here has walnuts in or on their carrot cake, and I developed an allergy a few years back.

I would give a not-insignificant body part to have a nasal vaccine available for kids. My younger one is needle-phobic and annual flu & covid shots are SO distressing for everyone involved. If it’s more effective, even better!!!

Also I can’t overstate how important iron levels are for hair growth; ferritin should ideally be around 100 or higher for optimal hair growth. I had iron infusions and now take beef spleen extract to boost my iron levels.
