Her book series Scarlet and Ivy and The Violet Veil Mysteries are published by HarperCollins worldwide, as well as being translated into 9 different languages so far. Book your free place at Malmesbury Library 01666 823611 or use the QR code. βA true page-turning, nail biting mystery.β βVery clever hidden clues in the story, so you can solve the mystery too!β βI could not put this book down.β This is the story of how I became my sisterβ¦
I'll be at Malmesbury Library in March!

Me with a stack of my books
My events coming up soon:
Barnes Crime Fest, London - 8th Feb
Bath and Malmesbury libraries - Feb and March, details TBC
And a lot of schools! Will I be seeing you?
Thanks for the question, Martha! This was a tricky one to write as I didn't know if it would be the middle book or the final book at the time, so my goal was to make it work either way. Hopefully I succeeded... I definitely enjoyed writing it and even made myself cry at some points!

10.12.2025 00:14 β π 139 π 72 π¬ 1 π 1all the fake AI trash really contradicts one of the main ways we're told capitalism operates, with capitalists identifying wants/needs & developing products & services to meet those. turns out you can skip that step & just pretend. nigh everyone hates AI and it makes no money but it's everywhere
09.12.2025 12:18 β π 2334 π 535 π¬ 41 π 17Thanks for everyone who's bid on the #Creatives4Sudan auction so far. In amazing news, we're at 12k. We have TWO DAYS LEFT though. If everyone places lots of little bids, I think we could get to 15k easy. The money is going to Sudanese-run Emergency Response Rooms. ππΈπ© app.galabid.com/creatives4su...

Transgender girls deserve a safe, nurturing space where they can learn, grow, and contribute to the community, just like anyone else.

You're not asking trans people. You're asking all people. This affects us all. Anyone could be barred from services based on appearance. Since, surprisingly we all have a fecking appearance

13.11.2025 13:45 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 1I don't think it does as much? When I was younger it felt more divided, like goths and emos etc were specific and very separate things! Now it feels like people are more of a mixture in terms of what they like and wear (because Internet I guess) and friend groups seem to be a mix of styles as well
11.11.2025 09:22 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I can definitely confirm that there are still goths and metalheads in that age range! I help to run a goth event and there are always at least a few young people. Same at metal festivals/concerts. It does seem to often be people with alternative parents as opposed to people rebelling π
11.11.2025 07:49 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0The flip side of this is the male author who was asked about his writing routine, and who talked about how much he loved the feeling that he could close his door and then βthe day is completely yoursβ to focus on writing. 05.11.2025 08:48 β π 2 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0Worth pointing out the biggest supporters of trans people (which is who bigots mean by βgender ideologyβ) are bisexual & lesbian women. All the public βconcernsβ about trans people (phase, indoctrination, regret, etc) are recycled forms of homophobia. This is why LGB solidarity with the T is strong.

Interviewer: Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, as a doctor and the creator of the supremely rational detective Sherlock Holmes, do you believeβ
Doyle: Yes!
interviewer: I hadn't finished the question, Sir Arthur.
Doyle lunging across an occasional table: I BELIEVE IN IT
There is literally not one person who can exist in modern society without using the big tech platforms daily, at least indirectly. That doesnβt mean itβs futile to try to reduce dependency or investment, but I also am not judging anyone harshly for that, least of all those who are most vulnerable.

01.10.2025 07:12 β π 51 π 19 π¬ 1 π 0So grateful to my colleagues for the work that has gone into this crucial report and proud of my tiny part in it. All schools should have a well stocked library and qualified librarian. The difference it makes to childrenβs learning and wellbeing is immeasurable. #KidLitUK #KidLit #SchoolLibraries
30.09.2025 12:32 β π 13 π 4 π¬ 1 π 0Anyway, I hope that's helpful and I'm always happy to answer questions as an Author/Often Library Helper π
And just to clarify, none of these things replace an actual librarian, because they are worth their weight in gold and you can really see the difference in schools that are able to have one!
- Have a look around for local authors! While authors ought to be paid for events (bills, ouch π ) we may be able to help encourage reading in other ways, e.g. recommending good new books, donating spare copies, letters or signed posters for the library etc (could be by email if post too expensive!)
29.09.2025 13:12 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0- It's good to make it as much of a welcoming environment as possible. If you can fundraise for new furniture etc, great - if not then just fresh displays and some occasional volunteer help to tidy and fix up shelves etc can make a big difference
