Yep. This was short enough that it seemed more like the PubDog gas explosion than the earthquake in 2011, but it felt near enough that my petty work worries evaporated for a moment while I looked to see if there was smoke on the horizon in any direction

I still tear up even seeing them play under their own flag, since my whole childhood Lithuania was a country that only used to exist, which Russia and then the USSR have tried for centuries to erase their language and culture.

World cup qualifiers--Lithuania was down 2-0 against Netherlands, and they tied it up (that's when I posted). Lithuania has never qualified for the World Cup and Netherlands are one of the best teams in the world. Lithuania ultimately lost, but they did so much better than expected.
