yeah, I heard some rumblings about it at the time as well (got an old family friend that was a Brookshire's management lifer)

I honestly cannot imagine HEB coming to Tyler (or Longview) unless it's because HEB has purchased the Brookshires brand.

Just received another print edition of The Onion, and I am continually delighted both that this is a thing that exists, and also that @bencollins.bsky.social and crew keep hitting it out of the park. I rip this thing open like a kid at Christmas every month.

I’ve drilled into my kids to break apart every piece of a journey, estimate a realistic time with some impediments then add a bit of buffer. Add all that up and figure out when to leave, and you’re always either like 2m early at worst, or have time to chill in the car for a few in the common case.

I’m bougie and *only* sit in the Intel Club seats when I go (which is admittedly rarely). The club seats are behind home plate, which is on the SW corner of the stadium, so it depends a bit on what time the game is but generally pretty good seats (with an air-conditioned lounge right behind you)

I’ve come to the conclusion that the Amazon tv show Patriot is a great litmus test for if I’m should trust someone’s media recommendations — if they love Patriot, I think we’re gonna align preferences just fine.
