Im Internationalen Gerichtshof ist heute ziemlich Spektakuläres passiert. Der ICJ hat seine Advisory Opinion zu Völkerrecht und Klima veröffentlicht und dabei mit einigen Argumenten von Klima-Minimalisten aufgeräumt und eine Grundlage geliefert für Klima Klagen unter Staaten.

In seinem Gutachten, der sog. "Advisory Opinion", wird der IGH klar definieren, welche Verpflichtungen zum Klimaschutz sich aus dem Völkerrecht für die einzelnen Staaten ergeben. Das ist zwar nicht bindend, aber trotzdem wegweisend und wird in politischen Debatten eine wichtige Rolle spielen.
