Out today, expertly guided by Ana Morales. It will come as no big surprise to read that wolves across their vast range are dying at far higher rates than they should be, due to human hunting. But now there are numbers, to check, discuss, and ponder.

Two common European pink-flowering Lamium species. When growing side by side, the differences are clear, but they are sometimes confused.
- Lamium maculatum (left): larger, curved corolla tube, wet forests.
- Lamium purpureum (right): smaller, straight corolla tube, human settlements and farmland.
