We moved to Myrtle Beach last October. We love it. It's big enough to have some variety, so it's not all Dirty and Murder. Then again, we're from Detroit. ;)

Gotcha!! I hear both used very deliberately to tear down the area. So, I was kinda expecting to see some crack or guns. Haha!

What is with founders who expect a new hire to successfully step right into a role without some time onboarding and learning context? Just because you're a startup doesn't mean everyone starts at exactly the same starting line.

Tech hubs and founders are not where everyone belongs. Vet yourself. Try it. But don't assume it's the right place to be.

Learned a few more lessons today. I want to be nowhere near Washington DC or anywhere else "professionalism" is a measuring stick rather than skill. Believing everything fits one mold or framework isn't realistic and inhumane.

Today is reinforcement that I am not competitive. The ugly in me comes out when I'm forced to be competitive. And I don't like it. So, suck it.

Hah. I helped find an illegal gas well. It's now "legal" and documented. It was heating our home, and everyone who sold us the house lied about it.

Occasional reminder to not gatekeep when dealing with people trying to be on your side. Unity needs some grace. Train up anyone, especially those asking for knowledge.

I was a bit shocked at people who were telling me that rebels/progressives/fringe Democrats (!!) are too combative. Yep, I see it now. The gatekeeping is turning people away. Is it so hard to grasp that people actually DO want to know where they have gone wrong in their thinking??

I didn't attribute support for the Fairness Doctrine to Cronkite himself. I'm bringing the two together. Maybe I need to make it more clear that we didn't need the Fairness Doctrine as much when journalists were more ethical.

Guess what ChatGPT helped me learn today! I have to lower my cholesterol intake. I love breakfast. I asked for a ranking of breakfast meat by cholesterol content. I lumped "ham" into one item. ChatGPT pointed out that Canadian bacon is a form of ham with less cholesterol than... just... ham.
