Several years ago I wrote for the @theguardian.com about the urgent need to hold social media companies accountable for refusing to stop the spread of deadly antivax misinformation. Tragically, not enough has been done, and now people are dying and scientists are being targeted.

They’re like “Not MY billionaire!! He’s not corrupt! He’s from the Lord!” because otherwise they have to admit they were completely fooled into worshipping a false idol; someone who embodies all the things they claim to hate. Then what would they have to feel superior about? Pathetic.

The same bill added a work requirement to Medicaid. Meaning if one works less hours or makes less income than required they must join a work program or lose “benefits”.

If I understand correctly, the new bill offers tax break to employers. It incentivizes reporting cash tips to employees. Also it expires 2028. A ploy to identify otherwise low income workers who would then potentially no longer qualify for Medicaid or SNAP if all cash tips were reported. Not good.

Before that time, work requirements were only officially attached to unemployment benefits. So I guess adding it to SNAP(food stamps) was a little test drive.

I got caught up in the panic about the bill. I am weak. But I remember that I have survived without health insurance before. And I’m gonna keep doing my best to stay alive regardless. It does however suck that many people didn’t know that SNAP already has work requirements added in 2023 under biden.

Legal precedent, decorum, standards and expectations of a “civilized” society. Who now will tell us which genocides are acceptable? There are no meaningful shards of bourgeois democracy worth saving. That time has passed. It’s revolution and socialism or it’s barbarism.

They vowed to “Make America Healthy Again.”

Instead, they:

Kicked millions of people off health insurance

Closed hundreds of hospitals, nursing homes, and reproductive health clinics

Cut billions of dollars from science research

Fired government scientists and replaced them with antivaxxers

It’s almost like blaming minorities for capitalism’s failings makes no fkn sense at all.🤷🏻‍♂️

So conservatives now accuse dems of wanting to keep immigrants in the country for “slave labor”? But do the magats only want white people to do such labor? And what do they call the white workers in low paid, high risk, labor intensive jobs? Or wait! Are they saying everyone should get livable wage?

It’s capitalists who declared war on the working class, on the majority of humans. And they must be stopped.

Remember that as capitalists march us into WW3. They honestly believe they can save imperialism itself through world war.

Politically organized labor isn’t just the way to defeat fascism, it’s the only way to move society forward. Working class led revolution will benefit the majority, even those exploited peoples who don’t believe in it yet.

Capitalism is incredibly inefficient at advancing society in any significant way, because it was never meant to benefit the majority. Every scientific or technological break through is exploited or sabotaged by capitalists. Bourgeois democracy can’t last because it can’t serve the masses.

Simple arithmetic reveals a horrifying gap: 2.227 million minus 1.85 million leaves 377,000 people unaccounted for.

A Harvard study of IDF data finds that there are 377,000 people unaccounted for in Gaza.

That estimate is six times the number of people normally cited as killed.
