Anyone in Melbourne able to help Anna find a safe room to move into?

Do you know any #Naarm #FDV #disability support people? Maybe there’s some on here? Sometimes they do work outside official employment, but I don’t know the right people.

Regular people are welcome to help. This is the hardest one. Nobody in Melbourne wants to help.

I can’t do this alone.

Anna's expecting 44 degrees in the heatwave today and has no aircon. Help her get out of there so she doesn't have to suffer through another heatwave or at the hands of her family again

The link has non-financial ways to help if you can't give $

(Help would be easier given by people in Australia though)

Oh my word, this was an exercise in tenacity on your part, thank youπŸ™ It's like academia can't fathom that there might be incompetence at any step in the process --> no accountability. Good on you for pursuing it relentlessly (super poor form for ethics to fob you off like that)

You might be thinking, "CPSC, does a dry Christmas tree really burn that much faster than a well-watered tree?"

Friend, let's find out together by watching this PSA.

...I didn't ask if they meant the overlap is only with their MECFS-subtype LC patients, though they are ME/CFS-aware.

Coincidentally, someone in my life who's a general practitioner plus a long-term survivor of polyarteritis nodosa recently said they see loads of overlap between their long covid patients and their own PAN symptoms. And that antihistamines *might* be helping their PAN (a bit too soon to be sure)....

Scientists rely on this COVID-19 data. It's made by a volunteer in Melbourne Meet the Melbourne IT specialist who tracks "incredibly valuable" COVID-19 data in his spare time.

Huge thanks to @mikehoney.bsky.social for all the valuable COVID data he tracks. His work has become incredibly important for scientists and health professionals, and with so little data available now, it really matters for people who want to stay safe and informed.

A fruity find! 🍎

This practical guide to fruit varieties, now known as The Tradescant’s Orchard, was made for gardeners, not as fine art.

Later bound by Elias Ashmole, it joined Oxford with his collections and moved to the Bodleian in 1860.

Perhaps get soft/2B pencil and use it to pop a bit of graphite in that E string groove in the nut, if that's where the problem is.

I've never done it with a guitar, but I've had success with cello & violin with this trick

This clip from 2018 perfectly captures just how passionate @davetuller1.bsky.social is and how shocked he was by the way the PACE trial was defended.

His crowd funding has just 1 day to go and he’s ~$10k from his target. I’ve just donated again so he can carry on doing his important work

#MECFS palsβ€”

There’s a study going on to assess whether FUNCAP can be used to capture PEM in the moment, in addition to its original purpose to capture the average impact PEM has on you.

You take their surveys twice, once during PEM and once after you recover.

David Tuller's Trial by Error Fall 2025 Help UC Berkeley raise $68,000 for the project: David Tuller's Trial by Error Fall 2025. Your gift will make a difference!

For several years, I have spent my time busting terrible and even fraudulent research into ME, ME/CFS, Long COVID, etc. If this crowdfunding works out, I will do one more in the spring and then retire from Berkeley. If you'd like to support my work, here's how: crowdfund.berkeley.edu/project/47768

❗Help us spread ME/CFS awareness❗

People living with #ME/CFS are severely ill, yet often don't receive welfare, specialised medical treatment and accessible education opportunities.
Furthermore, sufficient awareness in the areas of politics, healthcare and research is lacking.

Privilege and Pain: Why the Medical Humanities Matter Katharine Cheston reflects on her own experience of ME and the need for a more caring, curious, and compassionate approach to health research.

I recently wrote a reflective piece for the Polyphony blog @the-polyphony.bsky.social explaining the motivations behind my work on ME, and what I think a medical humanities approach has to offer this field - and health research more generally
