My first preference is, as always, other queer creators, but my experience and portfolio span a wide range and I'm happy to provide samples and references as needed. My site is undergoing a revamp, but in the meantime I can be reached here or via email (contact@moonography.com).

Given the second thing on that list, though, I find myself with availability for additional projects. I'm not currently looking to take editing work, but I'd love to take on design, formatting, and/or website needs y'all might have.

But it was a very... Difficult? Lesson in my own limitations. In the dangers of burning the candle at both ends (and from the middle). And at the end of it all, I'm very tired, very unemployed, and - despite everything - weirdly optimistic about the future.

It was eye opening, to say the least. The entire past year has been eye opening. In a conversation with a friend earlier, I called it something like a year of intense emotional growing pains. Because I definitely have grown a lot. I've learned a lot. 2024 was not, technically, a loss.

Two weeks ago tomorrow, I delivered it, went home to see my grandparents, and began applying for other opportunities. I've heard back from one, and despite an extremely positive first interview, I had an appallingly hostile second interview with the general manager.

Which is a fascinating take, to say the least. Being me, I apologized, tried to have a conversation about it, and was told he had no interest in discussing matters further. Being me, I finished the day, came home and burned through some more work, and began drafting my non-renewal notice.

The breaking point came the Friday before Christmas, when - halfway through a twelve hour day, at the end of a week of manual labor (and harassment) I did not sign up for and that my EDS + fibro were greatly protesting - I was told, in short, that I wasn't doing my job/wasn't doing enough.

- endless harassment from my employer's girlfriend, ranging from behavior seen in high school bullies to sexual harassment to entirely baseless accusations of things like theft and animal abuse
- and often months at a time without days off (including post surgery and covid round three)

This isn't really the platform for detailing everything, but the overview includes:
- increasing expectations of work well outside what I'd been brought on to do (e.g. weeks of manual labor I really can't do)
- being on call 24/7, putting me well over the 30 hours a week I was contracted for

The short version is that as of the end of 2024, I'm no longer working for either.

The long-time contract went silent back around July and failed to pay me for the last two months of work I'd done, and the local one...

One was with a company I'd been doing work for for years, and another was with a local business owner who seemed really excited to have me on board and who I was excited to work with.

If the radio silence wasn't an indication, it's been an... Eventful several months. Following some major personal changes, I had to shift my work focus and ended up down to two retainer contracts.
