An old man who still thinks he's young, still thinks he's an academic, and still loves the world and all of its strange little bits. Meaning derived from bytes is entirely the construction of the reader and may not represent the intent of the author.

1. Speech can be abuse. It can be intended to abuse and it can have destructive consequences. When repeated, it can deeply traumatize.
2. Verbal abuse is a continuum from acceptable to horrific
3. There is no "freedom to abuse".
4. Abusive speech should have limits and consequences.
I like drafts. I don't have to use them often, but when i do, they are wonderful. Most common usage: needing to leave the editor to find and copy specific wording from another post, then return to editing.

One of the most successful pedestrian streets in the world, the Strรธget in Copenhagen, was filled with cars until a 2 year pedestrianization pilot project in 1962. The opposition argued โno cars means no business,โ but the street has been a massive retail success, the cityโs busiest shopping street.

I was in Tallahassee Florida before the first Trump election and I met somebody who actually said "I don't like Trump , but I can't vote for a woman."
That's some pretty deep misogyny.
A bit? Looks like you should keep an eye out for alligators. When did you visit Florida?

Words have deadly consequences; they should have legal consequences.
Some people (e.g. Nick Fuentes) need to be deplatformed.
Ergo there must be consequences for giving them a platform.
Jail time for hate speech + for broadcasting hate speech + for algorithmic promotion of hate speech.

Reduce election costs with AI agent mediated voting and vote tabulation!
Let a swarm of agents self-organize to collect your votes and announce the winner.
Running an election is faster and easier than ever!
This is dodgy in the extreme. They throw in fluff like blaming ffmpeg for shortening a clip. And the "reconstructed video" is conveniently a screen capture, meaning the actual video file can't be meaningfully analyzed.
