Corky is spoiled rotten, and I'm fine with that.

Monday, I have to pee in a cup for a job that will pay me $19/hr.

My last job paid over $70K/yr.

On the bright side, I think my at work stress level will be low. I don't expect to have imposter syndrome as my constant companion.

I have a job interview later this week. It's for a job I don't want to do at a place where I don't want to work.

I've been wishing for my former employer to spontaneously catch fire. (FYI, if that actually happens, I didn't do it. I'm not going back there unless they rehire me.)

I've been drinking a lot more lately.

For a while, I had mostly stopped drinking and occasionally drank light THC drinks instead. Now that I'm unemployed, I need to be able to pass a drug test, so HELLO BOOZE.

That stuff is so good.

I deserve both of these! I also screamed into a glass of wine. I think there should be a ribbon for that. It seems ribbonworthy.

I am so completely emotionally exhausted.

I was laid off from a job I treasured with absolutely no warning while less productive coworkers junior to me got to stay.

I was the only female in my area, and the company claimed to value DEI.

These constant attacks on DEI are exhausting.

I got fired today.

How are you doing?

I got a new hat.

The world may be on fire, both figuratively and literally, but I could really go for some cucumbers and Zesty Italian dressing right now.
