I have only read one issue of Wyrd Science (issue 6) and I absolutely loved it. It goes way beyond simple reviews and contains heartwarming essays of how tabletop gaming influences and is influenced by culture, history, and people.

I'm looking forward to reading the other issues!

Tinder also has (or had?) a desktop web interface, which also included a boss key that turned it into something resembling a static Google Spreadsheet. Good stuff.

Makes sense! To me as a more casual player, specialists seem more intense anyway because the pool expands fast and you have to keep track of all the appearances and abilities etc.

To be super honest, I still really like the looks of everything from BFBC2 to BFV where all classes had iconic and instantly recognisable looks. You always lose that with custom skins, but I also get that it's just part of a modern game to customise your outfit (see Isonzo, haha)

Very uninformed question, but I'm seeing Mullvad mentioned here multiple times and just wondering... What is the downside of something like NorthVPN, Proton VPN (ok apart from the recent AI disaster) or another popular provider? Are they privacy unfriendly?

Yeah I named Dropbox top of mind; between that, Google and Microsoft, I was the least sure that Dropbox was American 🥲 But yep, at least it's not US, and you decide yourself where to store your data, so on that front Obsidian is solid. Just very DIY compared to Notion.

It's indeed hard to find but they are Canadian. Although it's important to mention: Obsidian works 100% offline, and only if you use "Obsidian Sync" do they touch your data. You can use services like Dropbox to sync yourself or host your own sync server!

I reckon you have tried Obsidian? It even already has the Proton colour palette, kind of 😉

I realise it's not a clone, but I'm very happy that I switched from Notion to Obsidian for my personal notes.
