700k Falsely Accused People in DC

If you’re upset with the government shutting down or dissatisfied with government in general, don’t blame “Washington, DC.” The people of DC, all 700k of us, have no voting representation in Congress. This falls on the 535 chuckleheads the American voters sent to Congress. #DCStatehood #FreeDC

Been a rough week for Good Ole DC with lots of unnecessary, unwanted, and undemocratic congressional meddling. Ending the week with good news as Reps. Vasquez (NM), Pou (NJ), and Riley (NY) have added their names as cosponsors to the #DCStatehood bill. That's now 203 cosponsors! Keep calling!

Evergreen Post: our so called friends will turn on us & abandon us until 1) they suffer at the ballot box for turning on us or 2) we achieve #DCStatehood & put our colonial status behind us. Those who turned on us are cowards, FWIW.

The bills before the House this week about DC are not about improving safety. They will only show us who is willing to help Trump with his agenda of destruction.

Congress, you can either side with the people of DC or you side with Trump.

Today, Congress is marking up anti-DC bills to:

— Criminalize sleeping in a car

— Prosecute 14-year-olds as adults

— Give Congress a line-item veto of the DC budget

— Force MPD to rehire officers who commit serious crimes

— Let Trump handpick the DC Attorney General with no Senate confirmation

Congressional GOPers have no solutions to the myriad of problems piling up for Americans, so they are turning a time honored tradition of picking on the 700,000 people in DC. They can't and won't stand up to Trump, instead they'll pick on DC. All bullies are cowards at heart. #FreeDC #DCStatehood
