and missed the entire point of the book

it's more than likely than the og script had nothing to do with the novel at all and the studio just wanted to use the IP of it or something to make it draw in more people. that or the writer just never read the book lol

basically wuthering heights is meant to be a commentary about race and class, not a romance, and casting a posh white guy to play the lead is literally annihilating the point of the book, hence all the upset lol
