I know it's meant in good faith but "if we just made smaller scope games and charged 20-40 dollars for them it would fix the industry" is very funny to me. indies release like 20 of those a week on steam. are you buying them? is the industry fixed? no? hm. sounds like you need a different solution

there's a new scam going around where they offer you a place to live in exchange for a monthly fee but no matter how many times you pay in excess of the property's value they still keep charging you to live there

Unless they make driver's licenses, state id's, passports, birth certificates, *any* form of identification **FREE**, it's a poll tax & therefore immediately rendered unconstitutional.

In case anyone needed a reminder.

Genuinely we don't talk enough about how effective audience capture is at subconsciously changing people's worldview.

You dont even need like a huge following for this to happen. You just need to know if you say something, it's more likely you'll get more engagement, and engagement = dopamine

I just think if you work for the slop corporation and you actively promote slop as a hobby you have low credibility trying to claim that someone working for you posting a nonsense slop diagram into public documentation was an isolated oopsie

These people don’t see how those are two sides of the same coin and it drives me nuts. This is why humanities classes need to be mandatory throughout STEM education, particularly media literacy.

You Know What? Maybe the Time Is Right for an AOC Presidential Bid She’s only 36, and there’s a good argument that she should run for Senate and bide her time. But she also could be a formidable White House candidate.

The worst case scenario for an AOC presidential run in 2028 is that she’s setting herself up for 2032 or 2036.

She is going to be president someday—it’s just a matter of time.

also the size of the American cultural footprint means people outside the US can't see it as a monolith and are forced to distinguish between its resident demographics and/or its government, whereas Americans don't really need to do that for other countries.
