Dark crystal was nightmare fodder.

Ash, salty. Not quite as drying as the last two. Bitter, biltong and quite ginger ale like.

Sweet peat, bacon drizzled with maple syrup. Lovely stuff

Super sweet but with undertones of olbas oil. Nice but just lacking something.

Finish is very barbequey

Slightly vegetal but sweet at the same time. Fruity but not overpowering

Even my wife liked it and she can only handle Drambuie.

I feel like my tongue has swollen up it’s that dry a finish. But in a nice way! It’s all sherry and spice and all things nice. Scores a 3 for me

Thanks again Paul for an excellent selection. I have always liked HP, it was one of the first whiskies I ever tried and it’s been nice to go back to it. 16TT and triskelion my faves of the night. Glad they are moving away from all the Viking marketing guff

Dram 5 is very pleasant. I feel like I’ve had peatier HPs than this though.

Coastal and lots of sweet peat smoke. What’s not to like. Just expected a bit more

Very dry and spicy. Bitter orange marmalade with hints of salted nuts and the typical floral smoke.

Bright smelling. Apples, slightly ashy. Faint whiff of Parma violets
