Pet therapy had our holiday pot luck luncheon today. Coco was a very good dog.

The mostly white underside of a kingfisher is exposed as it dives from a tree. It has a dark blue head with a crest flattened against its head, slate blue collar, wing and tail tips. There is a downy feather in its black bill.

Last June: A black-billed magpie with the male cones off the pine tree in its beak. I have no idea if it eats the cones whole, or pecks them apart to get at the pollen or ... what?
But with a magnificent tail like that, who cares?

A gathering of thousands of people (7500) and thousands of pet Golden Retrievers (3000) smiling for a group photo in downtown Golden, Colorado on 2/8/25. The sun is shining and there is blue sky with puffy white clouds seen at the end of the street which also has an arch spanning the street that says WELCOME TO GOLDEN. It's a little chilly as people wear light jackets or sweatshirts and some wear various styles of hats.

3000 Goldens and 7500 people showed up!

Well, I am going to pay more attention when they start going nuts. My biggest problem to this method is that we take our walks theough our neighborhood and people get angry when go in their yards. "But it might be an owl!" Doesn't always cut it. 😁

Magpies and crows were not very happy with something in a pine tree. When we looked, it looked back.
Very proud of this one because I have never found an owl on my pwn before. The magpies helped, of course.
