This time of year, my backyard gets so many birds. Recently, I watched two blue jays chase off a stray cat and then this morning a cardinal stayed for a long time while I finished my coffee. And of course, the crows come often and are very conversational. It's all lovely prep for the Equinox Sabbat.

Neutrality never interests me. Make your choice.

I think a lot of T.S Eliot's line:

"The only hope, or else despair / Lies in the choice of pyre or pyre- / To be redeemed from fire by fire."

I definitely believe in an afterlife and non-human intelligences, but not in ghosts or spirits. And that latter lack of belief has caused more friction with other witches than almost any other idea I have. It is wild how contentious it is.
