21.02.2025 22:15 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Thursbitch is probably my favourite and Treacle Walker was joyful if a bit confusing. But I don't think Garner has ever written a bad book.

Roast was a solid 7/10. I suspect the fault lies in my settings I forget that for us a medium rare is always going to feel overdone but I was being cautious. I'll switch down into the rare settings next time. After all if a good vet can't revive it, then it's been cooked too long hahaha
17.02.2025 19:27 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Trying to cook a complete roast in the Ninja. I've parcelled veggies, stuck in probes, selected the settings, poured in the water, & turned knobs. The Mr. has lost interested, saying that all the time I am saving in the cooking time is lost in the set up. I can't help but feel that he is correct.
17.02.2025 18:19 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0π I am now going to spend all day looking at public domain book lists to come up with more. Those are good.
16.02.2025 09:30 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I like Sarah J Maas, but I loathe that for the last decade every author now feels they have to name their book "The something of something and something" I swear I almost want to write a gash AI generated novel called "The lies of unicorns and Navel fulff" I reckon it will still sell #writing

15.02.2025 13:27 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Currently watching 'Seal Team' whilst I play with the second draft of my novel. Is it wrong that I spend every episode looking for the dog, and then worrying that the dog might die.
14.02.2025 21:32 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Most of the events I have attended over the years are pretty respectful and only go to older places with reported activity. The newest was at an old concert hall that had a fire in the 1930s. But on social media searching out ghosts at sites of catastrophe is becoming a thing, sadly.
28.01.2025 08:29 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0What do you think about paranormal investigators visiting locations of known tragedy that has occurred within living memory? Especially if the relatives have not given permission?

It's been on my TBR for a while. I shall bump it up based on responses here :D
27.01.2025 09:45 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I am currently trying Storygraph and enjoying it for the stats, I obviously like bar graphs and pie charts. The other I am looking at is Fable, but it doesn't get such good reviews.
25.01.2025 10:47 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0We've had a fair few named storms since I moved to Cumbria 2.5 years ago, but I wouldn't be lying if I said that this one is making me a tad nervous. There's a fair bit of weather out there!
24.01.2025 09:12 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Hmmm my #AVG antivirus has taken to blocking everything on #bluesky when using my desktop. Very frustrating.
15.02.2024 11:08 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Might explain some unusual animal deaths in my local town #cumbria #panther

I stopped shopping in Body Shop in the 90s after working for a stint as a temp on the night shift in their factory. Unpleasant atmosphere, poorly supervised & worse paid. But it is a little sad they are heading for administration, it feels like the end of an era.

Our vets holding music is "All Creatures Great and Small" as I look out my window noddoing along to the music I always half expect to see James Herriott striding up the field to the back of the house. Gets me everytime #cumbria #rural
12.02.2024 09:37 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I feel like there needs to be a short flash fiction piece written about it.

09.02.2024 10:02 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Nearly 5" of snow at 5am, still snowing at 8:30. On days like this it is like the world stands still. I love the silence and the pristine possibilities that snow days bring. Including the roaring fire and the bottle of wine this evening because it's Friday. Yay!
09.02.2024 08:17 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0No problems, I hope you enjoy it :D
08.02.2024 10:09 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Assembly of the Severed Head by Hugh Lipton is on my desk at the moment. It's kind of a retelling/wrapper around the Welsh tales of the Mabinogi. I'm enjoying it, but I don't know if you would classify it as fun, it sort of depends what you mean by 'fun'.
08.02.2024 09:23 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0This day 6 years ago......And of course in my alternate universe an advanced alien race detects the incoming Tesla, judges it as an act of interstellar terrorism and deems humanity too dangerous to remain the sentient species on earth.
