It's the great conflict between having an amazing poster as art and having a poster that doesn't oversell the movie / sell something that doesn't happen.

Unquestionably a kaiju, not even up for debate.

If there's one (1) complaint about that movie, it's that it doesn't deliver on the promise of that poster.
