I work at an R1 STEM uni, and I'm shocked at how many scientists don't know the Creation Museum exists, and how it was located 8 hours or less drive from 2/3s of the US population. It's important to understand how pervasive these unscientific ideas are, and how they're being promoted.

Still thinking about Newsom. For a Democratic leader to consent to a framework that portrays trans people as a group that is trying to take something away from other people is flatly unforgivable. It is what the right does. And a Democrat who will do it to one group will do it to any group.

My trans kid and I both wrote him strongly-worded letters. I'm in California and until now thought he was an ally, this took me completely be surprise. I won't support his candidacy for any office ever again short of a complete retraction and some material support for trans athletes here.
