Cory Booker has held the Senate floor for 17 hours and 21 minutes.
The record of 24 hours and 18 minutes is held by segregationist Strom Thurmond, who spent that time protesting the Civil Rights Act of 1957.
I am pretty sure Booker would not mind changing that history.
In Signalgate, Trumpworld is demonstrating exactly what's wrong with authoritarian populism: Refusal to admit error, walling out of constructive criticism, the cult-like defense of the leader at all costs.

Always interesting to arrive at a hotel and see what Home Me thought I would be doing. Did I pack for an 18th C ball? Perhaps for finally doing the yoga Iโve been saying I will do for two years?

We made this website to tell our story:

My brain decided to be wide awake from 2-5am, during which time I indulged my inner theory nerd and read about the non-human turn. It was all very exciting and I had some brilliant insights for my dissertation that I scribbled on an envelope.
I only understand half of it today.

Among the more inhumane things Trump/Musk have done this week, DOGE cut off food, water, & fuel to the US embassy in South Sudan. They are living on what power the generator can provide. The country has no potable water & there's a cholera outbreak in the country.
These Americans are in real danger.
