That being said, I think the art design towards the end of Dawntrail is incredible

Just hoping 7.1 and 7.2 have a more engaging story, post patch MSQ usually grabs my attention way more anyway

Just beat Dawntrail. Got very bored but honestly not a big MSQ guy to begin with anyway. Don't get me wrong, I love this games story but the way it's told usually makes me fall asleep. The only time I wasn't getting bored was the MSQ stuff from 4.1 - 5.55

It did sort of happen with EW too, I played that one at like 2AM but that was less than a week after launch so tons of people were queuing for jt

Just got to the Dawntrail final boss, of course it requires other people to form a party. Guess it'll have to wait until tomorrow.

This has literally happened to me with the HW, SB and ShB final bosses too

I'm actually just cursed

God Damn, it really does look like Alexandria from FF9

I've been really bored playing through Dawntrail. Nearly done with it thankfully but this area looks phenomenal, god damn

Was doing my FFXIV dailies

Last boss of castrum abania and suddenly my internet goes out. I just thought it wouldn't be an issue and I'd hotspot my phone to finish it off

Turns out my data was out too

And they both mysteriously started working again 20 minutes later at the same time

Feeling like going on an #Ivalice binge

Started #FFXII for the first time in about a decade

Gonna then play FFT: WotL again, mainly so I can compare it properly to the new remaster

Then I'll be getting into Vagrant story and then maybe the Tactics Advance games

For reference, a piece of gear in the Occult Crescent costs 4,000 E. Silver Pieces.

Needless to say, I was a little upset about this.

I know P5 didn't release in the west until 2017 but I haven't played much from 2016 honestly so it's going here

I know this would require way more work but honestly, they should've just redrawn the sprites if they wanted them to look HD, maybe give them the same artsyle the cutscenes have, that'd actually look so cool

But nah, smoothing filter

Was only now just able to watch the FFT Remaster trailer on a big screen and the sprites look even worse than I thought they did when I watched it on my phone earlier

I get why they didn't want to keep the original sprites, but smoothing them looks awful

I'm guessing they feel the need to "up-res" them after increasing the resolution of the 3D environment. But I'm pretty sure everyone hated it with Tactics Ogre so I have no idea why they decided to do it again

Oof, yeah the sprites don't look great

But FFT is easily a top 3 FF for me so I need to get it

Just found out about Occult Crescent in #FFXIV. Bozja and Zadnor were where I lived back in Shadowbringers so I REALLY want to play Occult Crescent

But I need to play through the #Dawntrail MSQ first...

I'm gonna spend the next week so bored out of my mind

I do definitely think it'll continue, I understand why people think it won't but after that finale I just don't see them not continuing

Still disapointed they've switched to Unreal, I understand it makes development easier but as a hobbyist game engine developer I love when developers use their own tech, its just makes it so much more interesting

I've barely ever used #raylib before, but I'm already loving it, its so easy to use! literally all you need are the cheatsheets and maybe the examples, everything else is just down to how well you can code

Its really given me the breathing space to focus on the base architecture of this game

Finally starting on this today. Decided to use #raylib over Love2D so that I can stick with C++. Unfortunately not streaming, I'm kinda just not feeling it right now

I'll make sure to share progress updates though, maybe even carry on development after the jam ends

Messing around with ReShade and discovered the comic shader. I really love the look of it.

Gonna have to have a look at how to make my own ReShade shaders, I'm sure I can make something that really pops even more.

Also I should probably catch up with the MSQ but I really can't be bothered

Time to finally get that Necromancer title (I'm never going to get it 🥲)

I actually love my vita, but I've modded it so that explains why

I've even got Sonic Mania running on it but the special stages experience some slowdown

I'm about 10 days late but I'll be starting work on my submission for Meteoidvania Month 28

My game engine isn't really in a state for developing it yet so I'll be using Love2D, I'll be streaming it too

Hopefully by Meteoidvania Month 29 I'll have my game engine ready
