aside from making the sewers, i've also tried making my first piece of ambience music. It's not great but im going to get a lot of practice.

ive also added a mining minigame, plus everything else you can see in the video!

I like designing book UIs, and godot makes it a lot easier than normal to do.

I think about this a lot.

from an artistic standpoint i made these trees rather quickly with a lot less detail than i do other sprites just so i dont go insane.

i've noticed that adding a 2 pixel wide border, for whatever reason, helps them blend in a lot better

can i say i LOVE the billboard feature for 3d/2d sprites in godot?
i love being able to just create things like these, its so amazing

Its really nice when theres like a discount for normally more expensive stuff so you can cook new things without spending a lot.

I love calculating prices and its nice that i can make stuff like this while paying about as much as it takes to order pizza.

Oh i was marketing elsewhere, i just used this acc to share my work with everyone.

And ironically enough, the reason ive overscoped is because i was obsessed with making something commercial.

Seeing my game didnt generate enough interest, and adding things just to get it in vain.

i'd like to hear thoughts from other gamedevs, honestly, and i hope people arent mad at me for this.

Ill see what i want to do with my current project in the future, but i've overscoped, it has a lot of core issues and i just want to reapproach it in the future when my mind is more clear.

I dont think i dont have the talent to work in game dev, but its started to be really bad for my mental health

Im going to be honest, recently ive been very demoralized by gamedev, esp after trying to make it an "i want to try and make money out of this" thing.

I love creating, but i dislike the entire marketing and commercial aspect of it, so i might just pursue this as a hobby.

Sometimes i wish i were christian again. Not one that reads the bible literally, but like my closest friends and my girlfriend, who use it as a philosophy to do good.

Knowing that someone in the sky would at least give catharsis and love to those who try to do good or live their life and suffer.
