At our #tree nursery this morning to dig up the remaining 75 hedge whips. They are a mix of Rowan, Wayfaring Tree, Dogwood, Hazel, Spindle, and Oak that have grown from locally sourced seeds that we sowed in October and November 2022. Going to boost a hedge in #Lewes soon!

We visited the Liberty #Tree, (Tom Paine tree), on our procession with the Coat of Hopes from Bull House to #Lewes Climate Hub this afternoon. This Copper Beech was planted in 1989 to replace a tree lost in the 1987 storm.

Lovely fungi, almost covering this dead #tree in Southover Grange gardens, #Lewes!
Deadwood like this supports a healthy ecosystem by providing food, shelter and breeding sites for insects and invertebrates.
