Tired, old, a boring tit (Eric). Still a saluter of magpies. LUFC. Anarchist, anti-colonialist sort. Professional obsessions: building / construction safety and sustainability with the occasional soupçon of architectural theory & history

20.10.2025 13:46 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0I was a non-hooligan football fan in the 1980s. Funnily enough, this wasn’t what the Tory government of the time thought or said about me.

Drink to forget we have the worst Labour leadership ever known? It’s not a terrible idea, to be fair.

08.10.2025 22:17 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0I recently tracked my ancestry to a village in Yorkshire in the 1500s, as far back as the parish records go. I also tend to pursue a radical anti-Western ideology. Not sure where I should be living, to be honest.

Our movement is living rent free in the heads of Telegraph journalists at the moment.

I had to, but I’m not 100% convinced. Be good in cocktails I reckon

The only place on earth with a constitution which supposedly enables anyone to go and buy assault rifles at the supermarket to protect themselves from state oppression, then when the day arrives no cunt fucking bothers to shop.

Hands up and try and fetch something off the top shelf in the pharmacy, as long as your shoulders aren’t too achy.
Going through one of my occasional forays into early philosophy. Observation: Seneca was a boring tit who probably didn’t get invited to decent parties.

- Will Starmer survive until a 2029 GE? Almost certainly not.
- Could Burnham turn it around? No.
- Would an early GE hand the country to Reform? Most likely.
So maybe I’m in favour of Starmer staggering onwards 1/2
Timing them once: eleven songs in the first twenty minutes, absolutely ridiculous.
24.09.2025 20:43 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0My brother saw them early - late 70s in Camden, said they were fantastic. I saw them half a dozen times in the 80s when I was a bit obsessed. How good they were was essentially speed-related: when they were on fire they were stupid fast but the off days were a bit sluggish. Remember a mate 1/2
