Stood together as advocates outside Queen’s Park — united in calling for safety through care, not control. From our schools to our streets, real safety means investing in people, not punishment. #CommunityCare #NoToBill33

A group of parents and community members gathered outside Lucy McCormick Senior School holding signs calling for support and transparency in special education
Parents gathered at Lucy McCormick SS to demand action on harmful cuts to special education.
When class sizes grow, students with disabilities are put at greater risk. Every child deserves safety and a fair chance to learn — not a system stretched beyond its limits, where parents bear the burden.

Toronto trustees write to ombudsman, ask that province’s appointed supervisor communicate with parents
Eighteen of 22 elected trustees say they’re concerned “that decisions are being made by the supervisor behind closed doors.”
With trustee powers handed to a Ministry-appointed Supervisor, how will parents be heard?
I joined 17 Trustees in asking Ombudsman Ontario to confirm the Supervisor will follow the Education Act.
The Ombudsman holds gov’t accountable—and hears public concerns about education.
