Weirdly bottom line is not the goal of an education system… it’s education 😮😮😮

This supervisor reportedly bragged about this destabilizing process for students, parents and educators as having saved $14 million. Our kids are not a spreadsheet, our schools are individual ecosystems. You can’t shuffle them to shake out the lowest cost possible and expect it to be ok.

Without our democratically elected trustees creating space in the budget for stabilization and having meaningful conversations and knowledge of communities TDSB had the most chaotic reorg in recent history (ever?) under the watch of the Ford appointed Supervisor #onted #onpoli

I can’t count the number of emails I’ve SENT to him, but I could probably count the number of responses on one hand.

It was also very cool when Ford appointed Supervisor changed the entire application process for specialized schools at the last minute destabilizing the plans of many elementary students applying for spots. Scrapping a plan that had undergone YEARS of consultation #onted #onpoli

It’s so frustrating! And so important to keep speaking up! Have you contacted the Student And Family “Support” office? They’re supposed to respond within 48 hours… that’s not actually been my experience though
