It was introduced by French astronomer, Nicolas Louis de Lacaille.

Unlike a lot of the more mythical Greek names, Antlia just means 'Air Pump'. Named after the 17th century vacuum pump, which was used to study the physics of gases.

I feel like I've been seeing a man outside my apartment a lot recently.

He's blond with a weird neck tattoo??

He looks kind of scary if I'm honest but he caught me looking and now I feel like I need to go into witness protection

I spent awhile staring at this image today and I noticed a little guy hanging out on one of the right spirals. I'm gonna call them Phil!

This image taken with the Hubble Space Telescope features NGC 4826, otherwise known as M64β€” a spiral galaxy located 17 million light-years away in the constellation of Coma Berenices (Berenice’s Hair). This galaxy is often referred to as the β€œBlack Eye” or β€œEvil Eye” Galaxy because of the dark band of dust that sweeps across one side of its bright nucleus. M64 is known by astronomers for its strange internal motion.

Good point, thank you! I'll do that in ALT text in future!

The most notable are the top star which is Alamak, then it goes to Mirrach in the middle, and Sirrah at the bottom.
The one on the far right is Andromedae.

It is one of the 48 classical constellations and was observed by Greek-Roman astronomer, Claudius Ptolemy.

It was named after Princess Andromeda in Greek mythology, who was chained to a rock as a sacrifice to please Poseidon (Chained Lady), but she was rescued by Perseus.

Near to Andromeda is the Andromeda Nebula AKA Messier 31 (M31).

The galaxy contains up to 300 billion stars and is estimated to collide with the Milky Way in approximately 10 billion years.

M31 is also close to the star ΞΌ Andromedae.

Andromeda is located in the Northern night sky and can be visible all year round, and is most visible from September to February.

It's most notable stars are Alamak, Mirach and Sirrach.

Sirrach is the brightest star in Andromeda, with a magnitude of approx. 2.06.
