I’m reading a book on the earliest, Palestinian followers of Jesus and I’m amazed how much we can know from the shortest writing in the New Testament.

Jude is a single chapter, 20-something verses. Yet we get so much information on maybe some of the earliest beliefs. Maybe even an eyewitness

Mark’s use of “agapé” at 12:28-31 speaks of loving God by giving him your everything; heart, soul, mind, and strength. Then it is commanded we love our neighbor as ourselves, and not just people in your own community. It also mean the alien (Ex 12:49, Deut 10:19).

A job I applied for is seriously considering me for the position. Problem is, I just read over the job description and it requires me to fundraise my own salary.

So a 40 hour/week job where I need to do additional work asking people to donate money to the org so I can get paid. Great.

Read the reviews for James D. Tabor’s “the Lost Mary” and the negative ones mostly come from the audiobook where they complain the narrator is boring.

It’s a non-fiction book attempting to show the human Mary, mother of Jesus. The narrator is the author. Did they expect sound effects too?
