It’s already pretty busy, tbh, and as far as I can tell the Guinness is excellent (and widely regarded as such!). Seems an odd one for them to miss

Shop: Where to Find Guinness, Merchandise & More From polos to home bar essentials, we've got it all! Visit Guinness.com to learn where to find Guinness beer, shop from our merchandise store, and more.

Far be it from me to cast aspersions on Guinness's new Harp guide, but not far from me the related tool/map includes a Spoons that has been shut for at least a year (London and Rye) and excludes the Blythe Hill Tavern. Madness www.guinness.com/en-gb/shop#f...

UK Beer Scene - In Praise of the Beer Town - Get Er Brewed Blog Part of the UK Beer Scene is what Matthew Curtis has dubbed "beer towns", which adds to his list of "the best beer cities in the UK".

In Praise of the Beer Town — in my occasional blog for the folks at @geterbrewed.bsky.social I’ve written about what makes a great town beer scene, and for the haters I’ve included my own personal top 10.

I just don’t agree - head wobble or no head wobble - but I’m delighted we won.

I watched it, I support Fulham. Spurs are fucking dreadful

Incredible to play as badly as Fulham did there and still win. But that’s the glory of football!

The illustration from a Tim Taylor advert. Two men are sitting in a pub, having a nice pint after a long country walk. However the perspective is up the spout - they appear to be sitting on the arms of their chairs with their legs jammed uncomfortably beneath a table. They're also dripping everywhere. A nightmare image

This Timothy Taylor advert is supposed to make me want a pint of Landlord, but it hasn't worked because the furniture arrangements in that pub look incredibly uncomfortable

It's Ashesmas eve - but all through bluesky not a creature is stirring, not even a fucking mouse. So please enjoy these pictures of cricket-related pubs, and a bonus shot of Graham Gooch 👌

10 of the best British lagers to try (now that we’re finally brewing it better) The era of bland, gassy pints is long gone. Across Britain, meticulous brewers are reviving lager with care, craft and real character

Keep on lagering on, my piece in the DT includes the likes of @teamutopian.bsky.social @lostandgrounded.bsky.social and @pillarsbrewery.bsky.social i think this is not the paywalled bersion www.telegraph.co.uk/food-and-dri...

Ha! I'm sure I'd get bored of that v quickly if I had to use it all the time, but I bet it does a better job of accentuating the beer's best features than a chunky jug.

It's a lovely venue! V handsome. I just don't think there's any excuse for serving cask ale in such mediocre condition

They replaced one cartel with another (a worse one), and accelerated cask ale's overall sales decline. While choice improved in some pubs, cask ale disappeared from the bar in others
