Ooh. Could swing by for one! Lovely.
27.11.2025 13:41 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0The Fat Cat was always one of those pubs that was on "the list", but I never expected to visit. I'm so glad I got the chance to finally tick it off with this visit for @pelliclemag.com. This is my fourth feature with @fred-gs.bsky.social and it's a personal one. Please read and enjoy.
27.11.2025 12:54 โ ๐ 8 ๐ 4 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 1Iโm just round the corner from the venue. So if yous are about early and visiting anywhere nearbyโฆ๐โโ๏ธ
27.11.2025 12:47 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0For the last in our November-long series of pieces on pubs and pub culture, @fred-gs.bsky.social visits The Fat Cat in Norwich, a pub that's close to his heart for many reasons. We hope you enjoy this beautiful salutation of an all-time great.

18.11.2025 11:32 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Beautiful, vivid piece of work from Sean on the 2025 hop harvest. Itโs made me very thirsty indeed
18.11.2025 07:47 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Thanks for the green hop shout-out in this week's roundup!

17.11.2025 12:36 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Thanks so much, Claire. And for your contribution too, best in the biz!
17.11.2025 12:35 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0The storytelling, the photosโeverything here is just stunning. Kudos to @seanislegend.com for this inaugural long read!
16.11.2025 16:27 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Really sad indeed. Gareth produced some of the most exciting beers I've had from Scotland in a long time, was super buzzed about them. And that Glasgow Pale Ale from the Union was great. Unfortunately, I had some warning signs as far back as January that something wasn't quite right at the brewery.
17.11.2025 12:26 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Agree! I think what I meant to say was Iโd visit their venues more if they had better beer options. Exale can be very inconsistent. And the majority of the beers in their venues are their own. Iโve had good, never great, but also unfortunately lifeless or even infected. Itโs a gamble.
14.11.2025 16:20 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Not a glowing review of The Black Eeel. I haven't been yet, but generally think they do a good job of their venues. Shame about the beer selection, mind you.
14.11.2025 13:18 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Very kind. Thank you. Itโs not easy to get so many photos in there and still make it engaging by the end. Hopefully I made it work!
14.11.2025 11:32 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Photographer @seanislegend.com has compiled this fantastic look at UK green hop season. Some really stunning shots in this:

This is a lovely deep-dive on the English hop harvest and a handful of green hop (aka fresh hop) beers made with them. The surprise twist is that one of the beers uses Bullion, a very old variety I thought was extinct. I guess not!

Iโve custom designed and built the page to be engaging and easy to follow. If you do enjoy it, please pass it along to someone you might think will enjoy it too.

07.11.2025 15:22 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0The summer sun has left us and that means no more street pints until next year. Itโs too cold now, and the change happened far too quickly for my liking.

02.10.2025 12:35 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Had a lovely Sunday session at the Kings Arms with @thornbridge.bsky.social and Garrett Oliver. The energy in the pub was great; a real buzz about the place for these legends and their beer. Love to see it.
