maybe this was less a thing in 2020, I have not seen or done this even once during my stay then. The only time this happened was when the very lovely, chatty staff at a Ryokan whipped out google translate after our conversation got a bit deeper than 1-sentence replies 😄

to be fair, Matt's reaction was to the "have a weird reaction that isn't an allergy" but it's still stupid.
I've lived my whole life avoiding this common vegetable in certain forms and finding out which forms of it I CAN eat. That's all the experiment I need/makes sense, really.

hate people unable to minding their business when I say I don't/can't eat certain foods (a common vegetable and an uncommon fruit), as my body reacts to it (allergy and something similar ig). The reactions aren't severe.

You might be kind of correct with that, there were supposedly some rewrites late in development to improve the writing, but of course that couldn't cover everything.

you can make your Qunari dude look extremely old-school badass but then you're still the shortest Qunari to run around and a total goof.
...which is why my own Qunari Rook turned out very differently than originally intended. silly but docile, I keep saying he's the sheep, while Asaara was the GOAT.

my first Veilguard run was as a Qunari Warden Mage and I couldn't have been happier with that choice.
Love the concept and love it even more that the game even explored that! WARDEN GREY!!

also: you can make some BADASS Arishok-reminiscent Qunari in VG!

Veilguard may unfortunately have underwhelming writing but there were two dialogues that hit me pretty hard. Both where with Bellara and this is one of them:
